Bucket List Ideas
Attending a Superbowl
My favorite sport is American football closely followed by basketball. Going to watch a Superbowl has always been a dream of mine and some day I'd love to get there along with my dad and brother.
Attending a World Cup
There aren't too many sporting events like the World Cup. Here you'll find the most passionate sports fans throughout the entire world. I'm not a crazy soccer/futball fan during the year but I'm glued to the television every four years when the World Cup takes place therefore this seems like it would be a perfect event to attend.
Attending Burning Man
I've heard from many that this is the craziest event that they've ever attended, therefore it has been added to my list from those stories alone.
Attending Mardi Gras in New Orleans
Mardi Gras has it all. Amazing food, incredible culture, and an epic party scene. This one can likely be found on most people's bucket lists.
Attending the Olympics
Who wouldn't want to see the top athletes from around the world do their thing?
Backpack across Europe
When I first thought of backpacking, I had Europe in mind. I love small towns with a lot of culture and Europe is packed with that. My traveling plans took a bit of a detour but I'm still hoping to give Europe a proper backpacking trip.
Being an extra in a movie
It would be pretty cool to say that you were in a few movies in your life. No one has to know you were that extra that was way in the back corner at minute 32.
I went bungee jumping off the Bridge to Nowhere in California. You hike a couple of miles to get to the bridge, jump down, and then venture back on your own. I have to be honest and say that bungee jumping wasn't quite for me as I really don't like the idea of being tied to something but I'm happy that I tried it!
Climb an active volcano
When I went to Central America I had literally know idea how many volcanoes there were in the region. I ended up climbing over four or five active volcanoes, all very unique at the top.
Climb the Harbour Bridge in Australia
I don't love heights and I'm not a great swimmer but I still wouldn't pass up the chance to get to climb this bridge.
Dive in the Great Barrier Reef
I'm not much of a diver but who wouldn't want to admire the beautiful ocean life found in the Great Barrier Reef?
I don't know why but I've always wanted to do this one. It is available in New Hampshire so I think I might just have to try it this winter.
When in Semuc Champey in Guatemala, I took a tour through a long and dark cave lead only by the candle light of the candles that each member was holding.
Float in the Dead Sea
I can't float. I've tried it in pools, I've tried it in oceans, and I've tried it in lakes. It is a struggle for me. What a better place to learn than the Dead Sea?
Gamble in Las Vegas
While I didn't spend too much money or time while out in Vegas, it was still a fun "just to say I did it" type of stops on my road trip through the United States.
Staying the night in a haunted house seems fun right? Wrong. But I'm sure there will be plenty of good stories from giving it a try.
Go on an African safari
I think this one is a classic one on many traveler's lists if they plan to visit Africa. Seeing the majestic animals of Africa in their natural environment sounds like it would be a wonderful experience.
Going on a cross country road trip
The classic adventure. Nothing but your friends, your music, and the road. This one wasn't always the most comfortable or enjoyable but I have a lot of fond memories from this trip and would do it again in a heartbeat.
Going whale watching
Watching these beautiful creatures gracefully burst out of the ocean was truly a sight to see and I couldn't recommend it enough.
Hang from the CN tower in Canada
This looks completely frightening to me but doing things that you're afraid of are the best!
Live in a tiny house/van
I'd argue that this might be at the very top of my list. Tiny houses and van homes are something that I'm obsessed with. It just isn't the right time for one now, with all the international travel but I'll have one soon enough.
Oktoberfest in Germany
Amazing culture, great food, and delicious beer. Count me in!
Pass out flowers to strangers
I'm not sure why but I've always wanted to do this one. People love flowers and giving them out without wanting anything in exchange would likely result in some smiles.
Pay for person behind you in line
This is as simple as it gets and it embodies paying it forward so well. Pay for the person in back of you and hopefully they will continue to send it back to the person behind them.
Pay for someone's groceries
This is a classic and a bunch of people on YouTube have done videos for this. You never know what the stranger that you're buying for could be going through so this one may help someone out more than you think.
Rickshaw Race across India
The Adventurists put together a race where you ride a Rickshaw across India from point A to point B with no directions in between. If that doesn't get you excited I don't know what will. Here is their website if you want to check it out (http://www.theadventurists.com/rickshaw-run).
Ride in a hot air balloon
This one freaks me out a bit, as I don't love the idea of flying high in the sky without some type of parachute tied to my back, but I certainly want to give it a try.
Ride the London Eye
The iconic London Eye may be just another Ferris Wheel but it is a tourist item I'd like to check off some day.
Ride the world's fastest roller coaster
I'm sure that there are faster rollercoasters that have been built since but when taking a ride on the Kingda Ka in Six Flags New Jersey, it was the fastest one at the time to my knowledge going a crazy 128mph.
Riding a mechanical bull
I'd say that for my first time riding a mechanical bull I did okay. I definitely didn't realize you could only use one hand but who else would know that if they've never done it before?
Riding in a helicopter
Surprisingly I haven't done this one yet. At this point, I'm saving this one for a beautiful city that I'd like to get a birds eye view of.
Run a marathon
I'm not much of a runner. I can't say I've ever ran more than three miles just for the sake of running. I usually get a bit to bored. This one would just be proving to myself that I can do it.
Section hike the Appalachian Trail
I've been talking about hiking this beast of a trail with my friends for years now. While I'm not sure if I can see myself through hiking it, I would love to at least section hike it over time.
See Niagara Falls
My mom had always wanted to visit Niagara Falls so my brother and I eventually took her along with my dad and my brother's wife this past September. The falls were beautiful and the surrounding area had a decent amount going on as well.

See the Cliffs of Moher
I'm very excited to see this gorgeous view in the next few months! See you soon Ireland.
See the Eiffel Tower
The traveler's classic. The Eiffel Tower is probably one of the first things that pops into a lot of people's minds when they think about travel. I'd love to see it first hand and experience the city around it.
See the northern lights
This one is really high up there on my personal bucket list. I'm a sucker for amazing views and I can't imagine that many views would top this one.
See the pyramids in Egypt
Another traveler's classic, I'd love to get to see the pyramids and learn more about the history of these iconic structures.
See the Serengeti's great migration
I'm not even sure if this is possible for the average traveler like myself but I think that this would be the most amazing thing to see first-hand.
See the Sistine Chapel in Vatican City
I'd be a fool to not list this masterpiece on the things that I'd like to see.
See the Taj Mahal
The Taj Mahal is one of the most iconic buildings in the entire world and looks absolutely stunning.
See Victoria Falls in Zambia
These are the largest falls in the world and also one of the seven wonders of the world.
Sending pizza to a random friend
Everyone could use a random act of kindness every once and a while. Sending a pizza anonymously to a good friend of yours without taking ownership for the action is certain to make their day.
Shark cage diving
I will indeed crap my pants when giving this one a go but I'd love to witness a shark close up.
Shovel a stranger's driveway
This one requires a bit of manual labor. No one that I know likes to shovel their driveway. So how good do you think it would feel if someone woke up to their driveway fully shoveled for them? This one is guaranteed to make someone happy.
Skydiving was probably one of the first things that I've truly done that was out of my comfort zone and it has changed me a great deal. I was petrified at the thought of it but it was actually one of the most peaceful and relaxing experiences once you actually get out of the airplane.
I've lived in New Hampshire for a few years now but have never taken advantage of the wonderful mountains and winter weather that we get. I'll be looking to check this one off soon.
Learning how to surf was probably one of the favorite things that I've ever done. I was lucky enough to get to learn on a quiet and secluded beach with waves that were just the right height for beginners. I'm hoping to be able to give this a few more tries in the future and learn how to take this to the next level.
Swim in all 5 oceans
Thus far I have swam in 2/5 of the world's oceans including the Atlantic and Pacific Ocean.
Swim in Iceland's Blue Lagoon
This spot looks straight out of some sort of fairytale. Between the color of the water, the surrounding landscape, and the fact that you'd be in a natural hot tub, this spot would be hard to beat.
Take a homeless person out to eat
Have you ever given your leftovers to a homeless person or brought a homeless person some food? Great, take that up a notch. I would imagine they may equally be looking for some conversation and friendship as they are looking for food so tackle those both at the same time and take them out for a bit to eat.
Visit all 196 countries
As of right now I've traveled to 12/196 countries. I'm hoping to travel to 8 this year which would put me at 20 by the end of the year.

As of right now I've only been to North America but this year I'll be tackling Africa, Asia, Australia, and Europe which will put me at 5/7.

This place looks absolutely spectacular and I'm very excited to be working close by to it this Spring.

One of the greatest hikes on a lot of people's bucket lists, Machu Picchu is an abandoned city set high in the mountains of Peru.
This prehistoric monument can be found in England.
Visit the Grand Canyon
The Grand Canyon was one of the most beautiful things that I've seen in my entire life. I'd love to get back there to explore it more and take a longer adventure through it.
Visit the national parks in California
California holds some of the coolest national parks in the entire world and I'm on a mission to go check them all out in the near future.
Visit the North and South Pole
I'd imagine this one might be one of the trickier ones on my list however there have been plenty of people to accomplish it so I do know that it is possible.
I got to volcano board in Leon, Nicaragua which was a very fun time. I did fall off a few times, so I was never able to hit a good speed but still a fun one to add to the list.
Walk the Great Wall of China
This is another cliche one on most traveler's bucket lists but seeing this incredible man made structure is just something that must be done.
White water rafting
I've gotten to white water raft in Colorado and Costa Rica and both were a lot of fun. It also allows you to form an awesome bond with the group that you're doing it with.
Winning an eating contest
I don't know why, as I'm a small 160 pound guy, that I think that I could win an eating contest but when I'm hungry I can vacuum down some food.
When in Costa Rica, I was able to zip line the longest zip lining trail in all of Central America. It turned out to be a lot more fun than I thought zip-lining was going to be.
What is better fun than rolling down a hill in a human sized hamster ball? Not much.
