About 196 Trip

What is 196 Trip?

Jason Rosa wandering the snow covered mountains in Montana, USAThe goal is simple: travel to all 196 countries, while documenting my journey, and sharing what I learn about travel along the way with you.

I don't really have a set plan or a particular budget. The only plan is to hit all 196 countries. I'm not quite sure what I intend to get out of this journey, but I know that I needed a life change. I wasn't ready to settle down in one area and spend the rest of my life in an office. I knew I wanted to see the world and that two-three weeks of vacation per year just wasn't going to cut it. Like many of you, I have my share of loans, and I'm not wealthy by any means. What I do have is time on my side and I intend to use every bit of that the best that I can.

While it was an extremely scary decision to make, I knew I had to leave the comfort of my daily life and give this travel thing a try. If I didn't do it, I would regret it for the rest of my life. There is much more to life than doing the same thing in the same place over and over again. I encourage you to follow along with my journey and hope that this inspires you to take your own adventure! If you do start your own trip, please share it with me. I'd love to hear about it! You can reach me by using the form on my contact page here

Who is Jason?

Jason Rosa at the top of Cadillac Mountain in Acadia National Park in Maine, USAI'm a 24 year old who just graduated college a couple of years ago from Roger Williams University. After college, I took a job at HubSpot where I learned a lot about the digital marketing space and met some incredible people. After over two years of working at HubSpot, I quit to go on my first extended backpacking trip through Central America. Following that incredible adventure, I rejoined HubSpot and will be traveling with them to train new employees in our international offices in Singapore and Ireland.

Some of my favorite things in life include my family, my friends, traveling, sports, sour beers, music, puppies, good food, and chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwiches (which are my biggest weakness). I'm also an awkward and quirky dude, which I'm sure you'll be able to tell after watching some of my videos. If you wanted to know something more specific about me, ask me a question on my contact page here. I would love to chat!
